One video for every app

If the same video goes to Reels, TikTok and Shorts, design for all of them at once. The box that is clear on all five is 660 × 960 px, starting 120 px from the left and 288 px from the top. Put your captions and on-screen text in there and nothing covers them anywhere.

Faces can go higher than text: a little overlap with the top bar rarely matters for a face, but it always matters for words.

Using the template in your editor

Download the guide, drop the PNG onto the top track of your timeline, and stretch it to fill a 1080 × 1920 frame. It is see-through, so your video shows underneath. Move your text until it sits inside the dashed line, then hide or delete the guide before you export.

Under “More options”, the crop preview shows what's left of the frame at 4:5, 1:1 or 16:9, for when the same video is cut down for a feed post or a wide version. The download includes the crop line you picked.

The part of a vertical video that the app doesn't cover. Around it sit the account name, the caption, the like and share buttons, and edges that some phones cut off. Text placed outside the safe zone can end up hidden behind them.
