Who it's for
The talking-head video editor you don't have to learn
You film yourself talking for Reels, TikTok, Shorts or YouTube, and the editing is what stops the videos going out. Upload every take, say what you want, and Krafto cuts the retakes and pauses, adds the captions, and puts graphics on the words you choose.
Where the time goes in a talking-head edit
A talking-head video is the easiest kind to film and the dullest kind to edit. You say each line three times, so the edit is mostly finding the good take, cutting the two bad ones, and closing the pauses between lines. Then captions, which most editors charge extra for. Then the words you want on screen, which means a second app or a template. A minute of finished video is often an hour of that.
Hiring it out costs about $100 a video and takes days, and the cut comes back the way the editor heard it, not the way you meant it. So the videos pile up unposted.
What Krafto does, and what is still yours
The honest split. Krafto does the part most people put off; it doesn't film for you or decide what the video is about.
| Job | Who does it | How |
|---|---|---|
| Writing and filming | You | Say each line as its own take. A phone on a stand is enough. |
| Picking the best take of each line | Krafto | It listens to every take and keeps the best one, usually the last. |
| Cutting the retakes and pauses | Krafto | The first cut comes with the dead air and repeated lines out. |
| Captions | Krafto | Written from what you said, timed to your voice, placed clear of the app's buttons. |
| Titles, motion graphics, diagrams | Krafto, when you ask | "Put the key words behind me", "draw what I'm explaining": each ask adds a layer. |
| The shape for each platform | Krafto | 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts; 4:5 and 1:1 for feeds; 16:9 for YouTube. |
| Checking the cut | You | Point at a part and say what to change, or drag it on the timeline yourself. |
| Thumbnail, title, posting | You | The free tools help with the thumbnail and the sizes. |
Rather not edit at all?
Upload your clips and say what you want. Krafto cuts the retakes and pauses, adds captions, and hands you a first cut. $25 a month.

The example videos on the home page, with what was asked. Each edit came from a sentence, and you can watch them there.
| Video | Raw | Finished | What was asked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Talking head | 1:35 | 0:17 | “draw the API as I explain it” |
| Travel vlog | 11:04 | 0:27 | “illustrate the funny bits” |
| Money explainer | 2:29 | 0:33 | “animate the cash-flow math” |
What it costs, and who it's not for
Krafto is $25 a month, with unlimited exports and no free plan or trial. That's about the price of one short video from a freelance editor, and less than a $19.99 editor plan plus the evenings you'd spend in it. If you post once a month, it's not worth it; if you film every week and the editing is why videos never go out, it is.
It isn't for everything. If you enjoy editing and want templates, effects and trending sounds, CapCut is a better fit. If your work is colour grading, multi-camera shoots or long documentary cuts, you want a professional timeline. If you have one long recording and want many clips from it, OpusClip is built for exactly that. Krafto is for the video where you talk to the camera and want it finished.
How it compares with the editors people use for talking-head videos
Descript edits a video by editing its transcript, and it removes filler words and pauses for you; you still read through the words and choose what stays. CapCut gives you a timeline with templates and captions, and leaves every cut to you. OpusClip cuts one long recording into short clips, but doesn't assemble a video from the separate takes you filmed.
Krafto starts from the other end. You don't open a timeline unless you want to: you say what you want and it makes the first cut, then you ask for changes. The comparison pages below have each editor's prices and plans, checked against the company's own page.
