Who it's for

The AI video editor for Reels you talk to

A Reel of you talking is a one-minute video that takes an hour to cut. Upload the takes, say what you want, and Krafto makes the 9:16 Reel with the retakes and pauses out, captions clear of Instagram's buttons, and the key words on screen.

What a Reels talking video needs

A Reel is watched with the sound off as often as on, in a feed that moves on in a second. So the first line has to be the point, the captions have to be readable at a glance, and nothing important can sit under the caption, the username or the buttons that Instagram draws over the bottom and the right side.

Instagram accepts shapes from 1.91:1 to 9:16, but only 9:16 fills the screen. Reels over three minutes aren't recommended to people who don't follow you, so a talking Reel that stays under that is reaching further.

Clear of the app's buttonsTop 14%, bottom 35%, sides 6%Instagram publishes no safe zone for ordinary reels. These margins are Meta's ads guidance (14% top, 35% bottom, 6% each side), the closest official figure. Some guides quote a 1080 × 1440 centre area, others 1010 × 1280 with 220 px top and 420 px bottom; neither comes from Meta, so this tool uses Meta's own numbers. The safe zone page draws it on your video.

What Krafto does, and what is still yours

The honest split. Krafto does the part most people put off; it doesn't film for you or decide what the video is about.

What it costs, and who it's not for

Krafto is $25 a month, with unlimited exports and no free plan or trial. That's about the price of one short video from a freelance editor, and less than a $19.99 editor plan plus the evenings you'd spend in it. If you post once a month, it's not worth it; if you film every week and the editing is why videos never go out, it is.

It isn't for everything. If you enjoy editing and want templates, effects and trending sounds, CapCut is a better fit. If your work is colour grading, multi-camera shoots or long documentary cuts, you want a professional timeline. If you have one long recording and want many clips from it, OpusClip is built for exactly that. Krafto is for the video where you talk to the camera and want it finished.

If you'd rather edit it yourself

You can. CapCut and InShot edit Reels on a phone; Clipchamp and iMovie are free on a computer. The free tools on this site give you the size, the length and the safe zone for Reels, and the guides walk through the cut. Krafto is for the week you'd rather not.

Yes. It keeps text clear of the top 14% and the bottom 35% of the frame, where Reels draws its own text and buttons.

Yes. Ask for 9:16 and Krafto reframes the video with you centred and lays the captions out again. Filming upright is still better, because a wide video cropped to 9:16 loses most of the picture.

Yes. Ask for a 9:16 version and it reframes the 16:9 video with you centred and re-lays the captions. Expect to lose the sides of the picture; anything you held up at the edge of the wide frame is gone.
