Adobe Express plans and prices

These are the US App Store prices. Adobe's own pricing page shows the same plans; check it for the price where you live.

PlanPriceWhat you get
Free$0Templates, Adobe Stock images, and video trim, crop, merge, speed and resize. No credit card.
Premium$9.99 a month, or $99.99 a yearAll premium templates and stock, brand kits, remove video background, one-tap resize.

Is Adobe Express free?

Yes. Adobe Express has a free plan that needs no credit card. It includes templates, Adobe Stock images, and the basic video tools: trim, crop, merge, change speed and resize for social platforms.

Premium unlocks the premium templates and stock, brand kits and tools like removing a video's background.

Is Premium worth it for video?

Premium is worth it if you make a lot of branded graphics: the premium templates, stock and brand kit are where the value is. For video alone it adds less. The free plan already trims, merges and resizes.

Adobe Express is for making a post from a template, not for editing footage you filmed. If your videos are you talking to a camera, you'll run out of editing tools quickly.

Adobe Express next to Krafto

The same questions for both, including the ones Krafto doesn't win: there's no free plan, it only runs in a browser, and it starts above Adobe Express's cheapest plan.

Which should you pay for?

Pay for Adobe Express if you make graphics and short promo videos from templates and want brand kits and stock in one place. It's a design tool first: the video editing is basic, and it won't turn raw footage into a finished edit.

Pay for Krafto if you film yourself talking and the editing is what you want gone: it makes the first cut from your clips, with the pauses and retakes out and the captions on. No free plan or trial, no phone app, and no template library: you film, Krafto cuts, and you check the result in a browser.

Where Krafto fits

Krafto works differently from every editor on this page: you upload your clips and say what you want, and it cuts the retakes and pauses, adds captions and hands you a first cut. You change things by asking, and the timeline is still there if you want it. It costs $25 a month. There's no free plan, so it only makes sense if editing is the part you want off your plate.
