How to tell your account's limit

Open the camera in the TikTok app and look at the length options. The longest one is your limit. A longer video has to be trimmed to fit before it posts.

Long video, short attention

TikTok's own advice for ads is to land your hook in the first 6 seconds and your main point in the first 3. It holds for ordinary videos too: a longer limit is room to finish a story, not a reason to take longer starting it.
